Family is a weekly televised news segment which features foster children in need of adoptive homes. Since its debut on May 30, 2002, 24 children have been successfully adopted. These are children who are traditionally the most difficult to place, as they are older, minorities, or part of sibling groups. To add to this success, many more children have permanent homes identified and numerous foster parents have been recruited. Forever Family, now a non-profit 501c3 organization, has also raised more than $40,000 in cash, goods and services specifically for these children. |
